Always start off early with some weed & feed and grubex , then a few weeks later follow up with some 10-10-10 and lime.

I try to keep my yard updated,i have a young teen that comes and helps me keep my yard neat and tidy
Trim lawns at 3 inches and bag what you mow.
Making lawn maintenance a habit rather than a chore has been helpful for me. Instead of doing a lot of work all at once, I try do regular upkeep: a little bit, every day.
Mow your lawn once a week or so!
Hire a gardener! LOL. Really, just keep at it and don’t let things get out of control!
