So I need to tell you that the only criteria needed to review this keyboard was that one needed to have a Smart TV. Good enough – we stayed on the list. However, when investigating further it appeared as though our Smart TV wasn’t compatible with this keyboard, according to Logitech’s website. Worry began to set in. I couldn’t wait for its arrival to see for myself if it would just happen to work regardless of what the website said.
The keyboard finally arrived. I was all too anxious to hook it up – I was dying to know if it would work – so following the instructions in the owner’s manual we went to work on connecting the devices. The first step was to download the Harmony app. Since our phones are more dead often than not, we decided to use the iPod for this step. Easy peasy. Connecting the hub and USB’s were easy peasy too, thanks to the owner’s manual having step step-by-step instructions and pictures.
After those steps were completed – we tried to make a connection and it didn’t work. We didn’t panic, we went to the troubleshooting tips in the manual to read up on what we could try. The first thing we tried was to unplug the hub but it was getting really late (being so anxious to see if it would work – it was nearly 10 PM when we began the process) we ended up deciding to just leave the hub unplugged for the night and return the next day to finish troubleshooting. That was a good choice to make! We plugged the hub in and turned the app on and music to my ears hit me…the keyboard was connected to the TV!

You have no idea how nice it is to be able to type using the keypad. We were on Facebook typing in statuses – so nice, so easy, so fast! There was no fidgeting with a remote – no hen pecking! In fact – using the Wii and the remote was a royal pain in the butt; therefore we opted to not go that route after the first couple of times trying. Add that it’s so nice to touch the “Movie” button – and voila! – you’re right where you need to be.
