As a person who avidly flosses, I was thrilled when I received notification that I could review the BrytonPick Floss Interdental Cleaner.  This dental cleaner is reusable up to 30 days, comes with a pouch to store it in, and is safe for use with braces.  I couldn’t wait to get it out of the package when it arrived to ‘inspect’ this little gadget and try it out.

The cleaner, being in the shape of a mini boomerang with metal tips, proved to be easy to hold.  Next I needed to get this gadget between my teeth; however when I first went to insert it between my teeth, the sound of the metal against my teeth was not a happy sound to my ears.  I wasn’t sure I could ever get used to that sound; but over time, I did.  Inserting the metal tip between many of my teeth was proving to be difficult.  I found I had to use my forefinger to push the metal piece between many, as the metal tip was bending if I didn’t.  However, that being said, I also have gaps between some of my back teeth; and food is forever being caught between these teeth, which is very irritating to me.  Inserting the cleaner between these teeth was not a problem at all.  The BrytonPick actually removed the debris on the first or second swipe through.  This was a positive, as I usually end up causing my gums to bleed, trying to get the food out with traditional floss.

I continued on using this one cleaner until…both ends broke off which was within the first week of use.  I didn’t expect this to happen so soon, but feel it was because I had such a hard time getting it to slip in between a good portion of my teeth.  In addition, I think I needed to figure out what way worked best for me when using this cleaner.  I like the design of the cleaner very much, and the ease of using it when I’m not home – is a real plus.
