I was just reading an article on the Right at Home site that I think is very appropriate to share considering the weather we are having in NH.

That being….spray your shovel with Pledge before shoveling….reapply as needed. The snow should slip right off the shovel rather than sticking to it as it often times likes to do.  Another handy tip (or so I thought), cover your side mirrors with plastic grocery bags to avoid frost and ice build up.  Now, someone recently said to me… leave your wipers in an upright position on the windshield to avoid them being caught in the snow/ice.  I am not sure I buy this 100%.  The wipers may not get the build up, but before you are able to work them, you’d have to make sure the ice around the wipers was gone or they wouldn’t glide right.
