Have you ever thought about becoming a mystery shopper?  Read on to see why this mother loves mystery shopping as a job.

I heard about mystery shopping from my friends a few years back, but I hadn’t thought about giving it a go until my husband was laid off and we needed the income. At first, I thought getting paid to shop was too good to be true. After my first assignment, however, I quickly realized just how awesome an opportunity being a mystery shopper in Sydney actually was.

Although my husband found another job and my family no longer needs the extra income, I still mystery shop almost every day. Here are a few reasons why I like being a mystery shopper:

1. Work Around My Schedule

Having three (3) young children, it’s hard to juggle a full-time job. While most jobs require their employees to work eight hour shifts, I needed something I could do for a few hours each day while the kids were at school. Mystery shopping allowed me to do just that. In fact, I work the times that I want. Whether I want to mystery shop a few hours each day or only one day a week, I have the freedom and flexibility to make as much or as little as I want.

2. I Love the “Work” Involved

As a mystery shopper in Sydney, every day feels like a Saturday. Now, I have to admit, I do love to shop and would choose a day at the mall over a day in the woods any day of the week. Mystery shopping is the perfect line of work for me and I also get paid well for doing what I love.

3. Make Others Happy

I know it sounds sappy, but apart from the free scarves, shoes, and endless perks of being a mystery shopper, one of the things I like best about my mystery shopping work is making everyone’s day less stressful, whether they know it or not. You see, it is all about improving the customer experience and making sure each customer is treated the way they should be. What’s not to like about that?
