YOUR Signature Can Help Save 12-Year Old McKenzie Lowe’s Life!
The Women’s Expo was held in Manchester NH on 3/8/2014. A Goddess of Frugality, my daughter, and myself attended. As we walked through the doors – there was a booth front and center. This wasn’t the typical booth of promoting one’s business but rather a booth to help save 12 year-old McKenzie Lowe’s life. Her family was asking for signatures to petition President Obama and several other Government agencies, including the FDA. McKenzie was there supporting her cause.
This is McKenzie – isn’t she just beautiful? 🙂
We are the family of McKenzie — a vibrant, giving, and sweet 12-year-old girl who was diagnosed with Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG), an inoperable brain tumor, on November 28, 2012. The median overall survival of children diagnosed with DIPG is approximately 9 months, making it one of the most devastating pediatric malignancies. But McKenzie still has hope in the form of Antineoplastons therapy – a treatment that could save her life if the FDA grants her compassionate use.
Business cards were being distributed at the Expo to support her cause. Supporting her is SO simple – just a signature – that’s all the family is asking for. Donations are always appreciated, but right now you signature is what matters most. She needs the Government to grant a Compassionate Use Exception so that she can receive the only hope that is left to save her life.
Yes, this beautiful young lady, that without the only treatment left to try, will die within a few months. The life span of a child diagnosed with a DIPG is not long – on average 9 months. How heart-breaking it was to hear her story – to think that the government could help save this beautiful young lady’s life – but won’t do it without a plea from the family and the time consuming efforts of a petition.
Please Help Me Help Her:
There isn’t anything more precious than a human beings life – and she needs our help in hopes that she will be granted this treatment. It’s her only hope left.
