With Christmas coming, Amazon Prime can come in extremely helpful and save you a lot of money on shipping fees. Amazon Prime offers two-day shipping on thousands of items they sell…but often times, one doesn’t have the $79 to spend on the yearly membership.
The catch on invitees is that they don’t receive these benefits (only primary account holder receives these) free:
- Unlimited instant streaming of thousands of movies and TV shows with Prime Instant Video
- A Kindle book to borrow for free each month from the Kindle Owners’ Lending Library

The way to save on the membership is to have each invitee pay his/her share. Simply divide the $79 by 5 This ends up being $15.80 per person. Just FYI, the free six months of Amazon Student does NOT include streaming or Kindle books. That doesn’t come in until you’re a paid member (at half price for four years).
dividing a membership between family or friends is an awesome idea
No matter how I divide my husband still pays the bill, LOL. I was contemplating getting this because I think it might be good for discounts on movies but I’m not sure if that’s what my husband was talking about, It sounds like a good deal then otherwise I usually spend $25 to get free shipping anyway, but the 2 day shipping sounds awesome, thanks
