Being on a mission to find this pizza, I discovered it was only available at Shaw’s supermarkets in our area. Good enough, I cashed in my coupons provided by BzzAgent.com to review the product. I chose the Speciale out of several different options available.
The Pizza Speciale has ham and pepperoni for toppings on a thin crust with cheese and sauce. I loved the thin crust. It was on the crispier side and didn’t over-power the pizza. The meat toppings were not chunked or diced, but slices with the ham slices being approximately the same size as the pepperoni. As far as the sauce – I felt it was a bit on the spicy side, but my daughter argues with me and disagrees. She liked it a lot. The cheese was was flavorsome with just about the right amount covering the pizza.
We came to the determination that we would really like to try the spinaci topped pizza next. We will watch for specials in the Shaw’s fliers because I wouldn’t pay the $4.99 they charge for an 11.6 oz. pizza. That would be a costly quick supper for feeding a family of four, two being grown men who can eat.
*As a BzzAgent, I was provided two coupons to facilitate the review of this pizza. All opinions are my own.
I’m not big on pizza, but love the Ristorante Mozzarella pizza. I scoop up a bunch when they’re on sale. The regular price is ridiculous for the size of it. Definitely not fit for a meal, but great for a snack. I’ve tried a bunch of them, but the Mozza is my favourite.
