These cheese crabmeat English muffins are scrumptious!  There’s not an over-bearing taste of crab meat in fact, you’ll barely taste it.  I make them for lunches and as an hors d’oeuvre at the holidays.  When I make them as an hors d’oeuvre, I quarter the English muffins.  They’re extremely easy to make and can be frozen.

1 jar Kraft Old English cheese
1 c. fresh crabmeat or 1 can crabmeat
2 tbsp. mayonnaise
1/4 c. butter, melted
6 whole English muffins
Mix cheese, mayonnaise and butter. Add crabmeat. Split muffins. Spread mixture on muffins. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes. These can be frozen. Thaw slightly before baking.
There are different versions cookedof this recipe which can include garlic salt and salt.  I use neither because I don’t like a lot of salt in my foods and because I feel the cheese, butter and crabmeat have plenty of that staple in them.  I do use a tad bit of garlic powder though.  I also toss them under the broiler for a bit – a minute or so – to get them golden brown as you see in the picture to the left.
