Cheese Crabmeat English Muffins Appetizer

These cheese crabmeat English muffin appetizers are scrumptious!  There’s not an over-bearing taste of crab meat, in fact, you’ll barely taste it.  I make them for lunches and as an hors d’oeuvre at the holidays.  When I make them as an hors d’oeuvre, I quarter the English muffins.  They’re extremely easy to make and can be frozen.

CHEESE CRABMEAT ENGLISH MUFFINS

1 jar Kraft Old English cheese
1 c. fresh crabmeat or 1 can crabmeat
2 tbsp. mayonnaise
1/4 c. butter, melted
6 whole English muffins
Garlic Powder (optional)

Mix cheese, mayonnaise and butter. Add crabmeat. Split muffins. Spread mixture on muffins. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes.

*These can be frozen. Thaw slightly before baking.

There are other versions of this recipe that call for garlic salt and/or salt.  I use neither because I don’t like a lot of salt in my foods. I feel the cheese, butter and crabmeat have plenty of that staple in them.  I do use a tad bit of garlic powder though.  I also toss them under the broiler for a bit – a minute or so – to get them golden brown as you see in the .

Easy to make and the end result is just so yummy!

  7. My son would love this. I don’t eat seafood but my son loves it and I try to remember to make it for him. He did just tell my mom she needs to come visit and have some kind of seafood with him because he is feeling seafood deprived, Nothing like mom guilt, lol,

  8. These are the best since I found this recipe, I’ve been making them every other weekend. It does not matter who comes over, they’ve gone in 10 minutes.
