I love natural cleaning products – vinegar being my absolute favorite.  So when I had the opportunity to review “The Peaceful Housewife Natural Cleaning Products e-book,” I jumped at the chance.  The Peaceful Housewife offers 30 recipes for making natural cleaning cleaners and natural pest sprays.  All the items she speaks of in her recipes are easy to find, cost effective, products that are ‘totally green.’

You will learn from her ebook how to make:
  • Powdered Laundry Detergent
  • Fabric Softener
  • Gel Stain Treatment
  • Spray Stain Treatment
  • Foaming Dish or Hand Soap
  • Dishwasher Detergent
  • Carpet cleaner, and even
  • Wet Mop Refills (the ones with the containers that squirt the solution out)
  • Furniture Polish (if you don’t know how bad traditional store bought polishes are for your body, you need to read this article)
This is only a partial list of the recipes that you’ll find in her ebook. Many of the recipes she provides have many alternative recipes.  This is nice feature, as you are able to tailor the cleaner to your liking. One thing The Peaceful Housewife uses in her cleaners are essential oils. I would have never thought of using those. I have tried several of her recipes though – with complete success; however, I did leave out the oils for the mere fact that I was afraid they would aggravate my son’s allergies and then put him into as asthma attack.  Again – the recipes are tailorable, so no big deal.

Bankruptcy is tricky because it’s so involved.  There’s so much information to learn about and to absorb. Take a notebook and go hear what has to be said, writing down what is of importance.  The attorney needs to give you all your options, including if the attorney can help you get out of debt without filing for bankruptcy.  Certainly, you’d want to take that route over ruining your credit worthiness for 7 – 10 years.  If that’s not an option, then you will want to be able to make an informed decision on if it would be best for you to file bankruptcy under chapter 7 or chapter 13.

Walmart’s Layaway is Back For The Holidays

Walmart is bringing back their layaway plan for the holidays.

Here are the details:

  • Program begins on October 17th
  • Customers must spend at least $50 to sign up for layaway
  • Each item has to be priced at $15 or more
  • Customer pays a $5 fee plus puts 10% down 
  • Payments and item pick up must be completed by December 16th, or pay a $10 cancellation fee
This is a better alternative than putting your purchases on a credit card with a high interest rate.  Personally, my game plan would be to buy all my higher ticketed items early and pay for them accordingly using the layaway plan.  The little stuff can always be purchased later.  I hate seeing a huge bill come in after the holidays.  It’s just so depressing!
