Editing friends on Facebook organizes what you see on your wall and does not remove them unless you want to remove them completely!

All us bloggers know that when we ‘like’ another’s Facebook Fan Page, we have to do this from our own personal Facebook page and not our Fan page.  After a while, ‘liking’ all these pages tends to clutter up your personal wall…making it difficult to see your ‘friend’s and family’s’ posts.  There is a very easy solution to this problem.  The solution will make it so that you don’t have to ‘hide’ all posts from someone, or delete that person/page altogether, which in return could make you miss something big.  So…let’s get started!

Here’s what you do:
1. Once logged into Facebook, click on the down arrow next to ‘Account’
2. You will then see ‘Edit Friends’ click on this
3. At the top of this page you will see ‘Create a List’ click on this
4. This brings you to a pop-up window
5. At the top you will see under ‘Create New List’ a box that says ‘Enter a Name’ in this box ‘name’ your list…for instance: Blogs I follow, Family and Friends, Companies…I’m sure you get it…whatever you’d like to name your list 🙂
6. Beginning clicking on the names/photos of who you want to add to this list/group you’ve just named
7. When done…click on ‘Create List’ add the bottom of this window
8. Continue creating as many lists as you see fit for your needs
9. You’re done that part!

Now when you view your wall…everyone who’s posted a status update…these all will still show no matter what list you have them categorized under…Until You…(this is the cool part)

1. Go to your wall (Home)
2. At the top you will see ‘Most Recent’ if it tells you there have been say…300 updates…click on that first   to update your wall page with all these status updates
3. Now you should see an arrow next to ‘Most Recent’ click that arrow
4. Look down the list and find the group you wish to view posts from.  Every group you’ve created will show on this list…amongst Games, Status Updates, Photos etc…Look further down.  If you have many groups, you will need to choose the ‘Choose Another’ link, which will bring up the rest of your groups that aren’t showing.  Now click on the group you want to see the latest updates from.  Now you are seeing posts from just that group on your wall!

Pretty Cool, huh?  This has organized my wall completely.  I don’t have to worry about missing a post from any friends or family members.  And, I can concentrate on all the posts from my fellow bloggers or companies I follow.

Make it a great day!

Free Beech-Nut Next Steps Kit
For your little one….a Free Beech-Nut Next Steps Kit

******************************************************
Hope you all had a great weekend!  I would like to welcome aboard all my new followers and thank all my old followers for sticking around.  A thanks goes out to all of you who hooked up in the Footloose and Fancy-Free Hop.  I am working on returning the love.

My mind is all over the place these days thinking about the thousand and one things I need to do.  I’ve decided I want:

1. A personal assistant
2. A housekeeper
3. Three LNA’s that do 8 hour shifts 24/7.
4. Six more hours in a day
5. “Time” to slow down
6. To catch that trout I was suppose to catch weeks ago

I will say, I did get one important thing accomplished today…well actually three…groceries, stitches out of two of my kitties I had fixed (and I didn’t think they used anything but dissolvables …ha..oh well…I taught myself how to snip them out), and I vacuumed out my computer tower.  The inside of my tower was so full of dust! It’s been shutting off on me when it feels to…so I decided I better see what’s on the inside thinking maybe it’s over-heating. Well…wouldn’t surprise me a bit if the dust was the cause. One fan was so caked with dust that I actually used plastic tweezers to pull it away from the grill behind the blades.  Aside from that, I got the normal daily chores done.  I can say I went to bed smarter than I woke up…works for me.  I hope you all had a productive weekend!

Make it a great week!

In today’s world it’s very hard for low-income families, in particular, to make ends meet.  There have been many times, where I have seen families literally leave their dwelling to live out of their cars because they couldn’t afford the housing.  What many of these people don’t know is that there is help via low income housing programs to help with this living expense.

That being said, where do these people turn to find out about these programs?  Back in 1986, my son’s father walked out on us, literally on the day of our son’s second birthday party…never to return.  I was left with a disabled child to care for…left to figure out how we were going to survive.  I had quit my teller position of 8 yrs – just two months prior – to care for our son full-time (my ex-husband had kept his because he made a lot more money as a firefighter).  So there I sat panic stricken…wondering what was I going to do? I knew I could go to Health and Human Services to apply for what was then called TANF and food stamps – and I did.  These programs were a big help, but certainly not enough to cover all living expenses.  In addition, the child support I received was counted towards our assistance…so that didn’t help me much either.

Then in 1991, I learned of our city’s local housing authority.  They offered a housing program for low income individuals and families.  Let me tell you, I was on it like you know what!  I applied, was found income eligible and placed into a handicap accessible unit within two months.  Finally, there was a light at the end of the tunnel – but only because I had discovered this assistance on my own.   Health and Human Services never once mentioned any low income housing programs; nor did our city’s Health and Human Services ever tell me about any housing assistance when I had gone to them for help to pay the rent. And back then, there was no Internet to turn to.

However today there is the Internet.  And today, there are several programs out there to help low income individuals/families – especially low income housing programs.  Lowincome.org is one of many sites out there however this site actually cuts through the chase of finding out about where one can find low income housing.  The site lists over 50,000 low income housing units including pictures, detailed descriptions, and who to contact.  You will also find other low income programs available on the site, such as link-up (a telephone service).  And, the site also touches base on how to find college funds for low income students and how to deal with foreclosure amongst other helpful topics for low income households.

Whether or not you have a need today for low income housing or other income based programs – some day you may.  It certainly doesn’t hurt to be informed.

3 FREE CREDIT REPORTS
Obtain your FREE credit report from all three credit bureaus.  Law mandates people have access to a free credit report once a year.  That being said, it’s very important for you to know what’s on your reports.  Years ago, I discovered a bankruptcy listed on one of reports…which I never had filed for one.  Needless to say, the credit card company listed this on my report but had the wrong Susan W.  It got worse when we went to purchase a home.

We had pulled my other half’s reports and it showed many entries that belonged to his father and not him.  It literally took me 2 years to clean up the reports before we could proceed with getting a good financing rate on our home.

Don’t forget you can get your FREE credit score from Credit Karma. Both of these sites are accessed through secure HTTP (HTTPS) so you needed worry about your information being entered.  If you don’t see the ‘S’ at the end of the http in your browser’s web address bar….then you aren’t on a secure connection…DON’T proceed!
