I am an avid user of the Windows 7 sniping tool.  I tend to snipe a lot…probably too much, but the tool is so convenient.  Well, yesterday I discovered a new tool that I am in love with, I think even more so.  It’s really that cool!

Once you install the add-on to your browser, you are able to capture a screen shot of a visible part of a page, a selected area, or the entire page.  From there, you can edit that capture.  You can add text, free form lines, straight lines, rectangles, ellipse, blur, arrows and crop what you’ve selected.

Once you’re done editing the capture…save it to your PC, or save it on their site.  I happen to like everything on my PC as it’s convenient.  Saving the capture to their site has it’s benefits though; as if your PC were to crash, you wouldn’t lose the capture if you hadn’t backed up your PC.  Here’s an example of what I captured for your viewing. You may need to enlarge your screen really see what I did using the tool (hold Ctrl down while you press + (plus key) as many times as you need to…to shrink your screen…hold Ctrl down and press – (minus key) as many  times as you need).

Grab this add-on for Firefox HERE
Grab this add-on for Chrome HERE —Chrome is what I have this installed on and the icon is right on the browser in plain sight…which makes it so convenient. I will be installing it on Firefox too (I use both browsers and IE but Chrome wins my love hands down for it’s the fastest)

I have been a member of Global Opinion Panels for many years now.  By far, this is my favorite survey site where one earn points which are then redeemed for prizes or cash.  When you register to complete their surveys you are also entered into a prize drawing of 200 prizes (cash) each month.  I’ve have nearly enough points to cash out for a $25 cash reward; however, one can cash out a $5 cash reward with a mere 5000 points. I’ve also been sent many products to test out then fill out a survey on my opinion of the product.

There are other sites I like too but some really irritate me.  For instance, the ones who ask me all these questions then tell me I don’t qualify for the survey.  My time is valuable and should they lead me on by having me answering many questions (some which I can tell have nothing to do with the survey at hand), then I should get to be able to complete the survey, and not answer questions for their benefit.  I also hate the survey sites that ask me questions, tell me I qualify, and then repeat the same questions once I get into the survey. DRIVES me NUTS!
You are welcome to join here

Another favorite of mine is Pine cone Research; however, they don’t take applications on a regular basis.  Next time I get an email as to when they are recruiting I will post the information.  They pay $3 for each survey completed via PayPal.  The only ones you won’t get paid for are the ones that state “household questions.”

Something Free for the older kids, or younger…with assistance

This program is SO much FUN!  The two pics on the left were created by my daughter and myself.  You start at step one and continue on to the end by clicking on next. There are so many options to choose to add to your smiley.  Undoing an option is easy…no starting over at the beginning.  When you get to the end, you can share the smiley you’ve created on Facebook, other Social Networks, your computer, send via email and/or store all your smiley’s on their site by registering…which is free.  Print them out for Valentine Day Cards or birthday cards for kids.  Frame a few of the creations to display on your kids’ walls.  Very Cool!
