What is your take on not being able to use coupons at Sam’s Club?

I like Sam’s Club for many reasons.  One of the main reasons is I take advantage of their gas prices. Another, is I like how I can buy certain items in bulk, which otherwise would cost me a lot more, even at Walmart.
That being said, one thing I don’t like about this Club is they don’t accept manufacturer coupons.  Instead, they have their own program…which is fine except…it costs one to belong to the program.

I have an issue with paying to “save” money, especially when the ‘saves’ aren’t on my chosen items.  So I thought I would ask my fellow bloggers…what are your feelings on paying to “save?”
