Being a Criminal Minds fan, I am so very excited over this opportunity! Bloggers have been given the opportunity to help promote and support The Bounce Back starring Shemar Moore! Okay, so I must stop drooling!  In my eyes, Shemar is the man! I love his smile.  I love his hair (or lack of).  I love his mannerism. And, I love his voice!  I know – as crazy as loving his voice may sound – it’s true. I have to have my TV on at all times while at home.  I just can’t have it on any  station though.  It’s a must that I have it set on a station in which I can tolerate the voices heard.  The Criminal Minds cast’s voices work real well for me.  When I actually sit down long enough to watch the show – my eyes are peeled on Shemar!

Enough of my infatuation – let’s get to the nitty gritty of all this excitement!

What exactly is The Bounce Back?

It’s Shemar’s new movie and as he describes it: A heartfelt romantic comedy about finding the courage to love after love has let you down.

When I read “The Bounce Back” – that very same issue was at the core of the script and the character, Matthew Taylor. I saw a lot of myself in Matthew, although I’ve never written a book (but I’m thinking about it now, hint, hint). I felt a kindred spirit to what Matthew was going through and my own life. Matthew loses his wife, his first love and after a short recovery creates a best selling book and a system of survival in order to shield himself from the pain. He throws himself into a year long speaking tour.

That system of survival; his book and speaking tour, keeps him from falling in love again when he meets the perfect girl, the beautiful and zany Kristin Moreland. Matthew realizes that he has to renounce his book and the world he has created around it in order to take the big unknown plunge of letting himself fall in love again.

I think there is a wonderful poetry to that, the idea of risking it all for love. And I feel, in my heart, that is why we’re here on this planet. To love. After I put down the screenplay, “The Bounce Back,” I knew I had to make this movie simply because I believe in love all the way down to the fabric of my being.

Wouldn’t you agree that if you are a fan of romantic comedies, that this movie is going to be a hit? Actress Nadine Velasquez is co-starring with Shemar (yes, I’m a bit jealous). I’m also jealous over the bloggers who will be able to go on scene, attend the Red Carpet event and meet Shemar in person.

Shemar is asking for help in being able to produce this movie. He is doing a fundraiser on indiegogo.com.  Here’s what he’s hoping to accomplish:

I felt that with all my great friends supporting this endeavor, starting with you of course, I could bring this movie to life with a much smaller budget than most Hollywood films of this caliber.  We drafted up a budget for “The Bounce Back” and trimmed all the excesses of Hollywood productions to a lean 3M.  My goal would be that we’d raise half of that through Indiegogo and outside investors. And if we successfully accomplish that goal, I will personally put in 1.5M (the other half of the budget) so we could begin production immediately!

The fundraiser consists of different levels of contributions which also can bring you perks like t-shirts, video updates, a combo pack which includes a poster of Shemar, personalized photograph,Baby Girl watches, Baby Girl flip flops, even a meet and greet!, and more.
