I know, the movie theater during the summer months, is not the place one really wants to be.  That being said, there are those days when it’s raining, or just too hot to be outside. Well…this summer Regal Cinema has a 9 week program, Regal Summer Movie Express.  Admission to the featured movies are $1 on Tuesday and Wednesdays at 10 AM.  Go here to find a location near you.

  1. I think Cinemark does it too! Here's the link(you'll probably have to copy and paste into browser)

  2. Thanks Michele! We don't have any locations in New Hampshire…but it looks like they are popular throughout other states. Thanks for the info!

  3. Susan,
Thank you for the lovely comment a while back (i'm sorry it has taken so long to respond) You're right, we would be conspiring all day and never getting anything done! I love your profile picture. That must be Ryan in the photo with you. Enjoy every day you are blessed to have with him. I took for granted that my brothers would be around “forever”, and two years ago one of them was killed in a car accident. He was only 28, and left behind 4 little girls, ages 12 to 9 months. I'm still trying to deal with the shock of that sudden loss.

Thank you for the tip about the movies. I'm trying to keep our calender as full as possible in the hopes of avoiding the two words every kid groans about 4 days into summer break: “I'm Bored”. We have lots of outdoor activities planned, but it's always good to have a back-up, and what's better than a movie on a rainy morning? (Except maybe a nap…:))

    Have a great summer!

    Cheers,
    Shawna

  4. Don't be sorry Shawna! I just glad to see you've been able to make some time to do what you want to do. Yes, that is my Ryan. Nearly losing him in March, left me realizing how much life would change without him…in so many ways. Life truly is a gift and one never knows when their time is up,as you unfortunately have learned. I am so sorry to hear of your brother…so young. If I had the right words to say to you, I would say them…but I don't. We lost a family member suddenly to a brain tumor a few years back. It was horrible. No one knew he had the tumor, not even himself. His brother found him dead in his bed. It's been extremely hard for the brother who found him.

Kids…bored…huh! I hear it on the weekends…I dread summer. Despite the technologies these kids have compared to when I was young…blows my mind to hear, “I'm bored.” They have no idea what boredom truly is!

  5. What's the start date of this? I can't seem to find what movies they will be showing and when.

  6. Hi Heather…when I went to their site and pulled up the participating locations for my state…that brought me to where I could see the location and directly across from that it says 'see dates and movies' click on that text. The movies are starting here in NH the week of 6/28.
