Earn free gas at CVS with your ExtraCare Rewards Card from May 22 – August 28, 2011. Simply make a purchase of at least $30 on specially marked items found in their circular, and you’ll receive a gas gift card for $10 to Exxon/Mobile, Shell, BP Amoco or BP Arco every week. CVS also is bringing you a simpler way to use coupons. In teaming up with SavingStar.com all you need to do is register your ExtraCare Card at SavingStar.com and pick the eCoupons you want to use during your next visit. From there, you’ll see money add up in your SavingStar account after shopping. Once your savings reach $5, you can pick your payout from a deposit into your bank or PayPal account, an Amazon gift card, or a donation to American Forests. Read the intricates {here} on how SavingStar.com works. Information is provided for those who are member of Upromise, and for those stores that don’t have loyalty cards, but are participating stores.
Amazingly enough…I have discovered that Shaw’s, Rite Aid, and Hannaford have already teamed up with SavingStar.com in my area! All I need to do is register my cards on their site. This is my kind of couponing! Besides, what’s the difference if I save the day I shop, or by receiving my cash back later? It’s not as if we have stores in our area that do a lot of double couponing :-(. In all honesty, I would probably save much more than I do now with my paper coupons…they simply stress me out! I actually see this as a great way for me to save for Christmas!

Just be careful, some of them have limits on the coupons i.e. can only use it once. But I do like the idea. Right now I buy 4 papers and clip them. I will register my card also for the extra savings if I can get it. Thanks for the advice on my budgeting. I do need help.

@Mary…yes, I see your point on the ecoupons deal. That would make it hard for one who wants to buy more. One could combine the two…paper coupons and ecoupons…if they were diligent enough to do both and save both ways. Right now…for me…anything is actually better than nothing. LOL..b/c I can be so forgetful, I would have to write down what coupon I was using in order to remember to buy the product! YW on the advice.
