Okay…so I know the basics of both crocheting and knitting…but ask me anything other than that and I couldn’t begin to help you.  Well in my emails…I came across this website:  New Stitch a Day.  The site is set up blog style, and it looks like they are in the making of updating how they bring you info.  Videos are included for each technique shown and you can “Request A Stitch,” if it’s not on their site.

So…there may be hope for me after all.  Someday, I would love to crochet a rug out of plastic bags like my Grandma used to make.  She made one from bread wrappers from all fifty states that I now have.  Unfortunately, I can’t use it as a rug any longer as it was beginning to come apart…so I have stored it for now and will frame it some day.  It’s something that I will always treasure.  She also made me a crochet tablecloth for my wedding…which she didn’t live to see.  She began the tablecloth, was hospitalized and all she could think about was finishing this tablecloth.  My mom had to fight with the hospital staff to allow my grandma to have her crochet hook.  When they finally allowed this…she finished it just before she passed. Another treasure I will always have and will pass on to my daughter.

  1. Have you tried loom knitting? It is fast and I love to do it. There are a bunch of tutorials on youtube you can follow. I have made a lot of things.
