Yes indeed, many many times. I have a flashlight, but it’s batteries are triple A’s.
Yes, I have been caught without a working flashlight more times than I can count. I have run out of batteries or have had no working batteries and even had several rechargable flashlights that are kept plugged into an outlet not work when I have most needed one.

There have been several times that I’ve been caught without a working flashlight! The worst times have been during power outages…candles just don’t do the job that a good flashlight can!
