Can you believe Easter is at the end of March this year?  Yep, Easter is March 31st – I just learned this and I am so far from being prepared!  Years ago, Easter wasn’t celebrated until the end of April…always.  Over the years though the day has gradually moved closer to the beginning of April and now it’s into March.  How is that?  Regardless, I will need to shop for an Easter outfit for a couple of family members.

Of course, I will buy online and look for the best savings I can get.  I’m thinking, since I have good luck finding deals at Kohl’s, I will start there.  I know I’ll at least spend what is needed to qualify for free shipping.  I should be able to snag a 30% off coupon from Kohls or one similar (I pay full price for nothing).  For that matter, I love shopping their clearance section, so if I find something that works for a Christmas present, I’ll go ahead and purchase it and put it away.

That said, had Easter been in April as it has been in the past, my plans were to get outfits that would serve a dual purpose as we have a wedding at the beginning of May.  I am hoping this is still going to be doable despite having to shop a couple weeks earlier than planned.  I really don’t want to have to spend the money on two outfits…I have really no place to wear them after.

Have you shopped for your Easter attire yet?

  1. Easter is celebrated on the first Sunday after the first full moon after the vernal equinox (March 21 in 2008, the first day of spring). . Easter can potentially be observed anywhere between March 22 and April 25.

  2. Given how crummy the weather was at home for Easter, I am glad I have a second chance for a nice Easter as we are in Greece for the Greek Easter! Luckily, although many folks dress for church, the meal is outdoors so everyone is dressed casually. I don’t need anything new – I’ll just wear jeans (or shorts!) and a T-shirt with SUNGLASSES!
