Cheese Crabmeat English Muffins Appetizer

These cheese crabmeat English muffin appetizers are scrumptious!  There’s not an over-bearing taste of crab meat, in fact, you’ll barely taste it.  I make them for lunches and as an hors d’oeuvre at the holidays.  When I make them as an hors d’oeuvre, I quarter the English muffins.  They’re extremely easy to make and can be frozen.

CHEESE CRABMEAT ENGLISH MUFFINS

1 jar Kraft Old English cheese
1 c. fresh crabmeat or 1 can crabmeat
2 tbsp. mayonnaise
1/4 c. butter, melted
6 whole English muffins
Garlic Powder (optional)

Mix cheese, mayonnaise and butter. Add crabmeat. Split muffins. Spread mixture on muffins. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes.

*These can be frozen. Thaw slightly before baking.

There are other versions of this recipe that call for garlic salt and/or salt.  I use neither because I don’t like a lot of salt in my foods. I feel the cheese, butter and crabmeat have plenty of that staple in them.  I do use a tad bit of garlic powder though.  I also toss them under the broiler for a bit – a minute or so – to get them golden brown as you see in the .
Easy to make and the end result is just so yummy!
