  7. My favorite Thanksgiving memory;
My Mom was getting the Turkey prepared early in the morning. I walked out just in time to see her lose her grip on the big fella and Tom the Turkey slid out of her hands and across the kitchen. With out missing a beat, my mother turned to me and said “Tom the Turkey is ticklish and trying to run away”
We ask Mom every year since if she tickled poor Tom before she cooked him!

  8. My favorite memory is sitting around the dinner table with my kids. 🙂

  9. My favorite holiday memory was spending time with my aunt. She is passed on now, but she could make the holidays rock.

  10. Our Thanksgivings always consisted of a game of cards after dinner. We would all be around the table with the the adults playing and the kids watching. One year, my little brother lost his first tooth. He was so excited to show everyone. When he got to my grandmother’s sister, she said “I have a loose tooth too!” and proceeded to pull her false teeth out!! He was horrified but the rest of us laughed until we cried!! It’s one of my favorite memories ever and never fails to crack us all up. Even my brother finds it funny now.

  11. My favorite Thanksgiving Memory is visiting my sons Grandma in Michigan for the first time and having fun playing in all of the wonderfully crunchy gold leaves in the back yard.

  12. I remember all the fun I had with my cousins as a child.

  21. I remember eating dinner early at home and then eating at at least 4 sets of aunts and uncles houses. We were stuffed like pigs when done.

  22. Favorite Thanksgiving memory is cooking with my grandmother last year learning her recipes

  23. My favorite Thanksgiving memory was from three years ago. Both of my children were away at college in the same city for the first time and informed me that their part time jobs would interfere with them coming home for Thanksgiving dinner. It was my first holiday without them and was devastated but kept it to myself as I didn’t want to give them the “Mom Guilt.”.thing. Imagine my surprise when they showed up at my doorstep the Friday before Thanksgiving. Both of their bosses had took pity on them and gave them the weekend off. To say this was my favorite Thanksgiving is an understatement.

  24. My favorite Thanksgiving memory is when we supported a local farm for the first time and made a fresh, local Thanksgiving dinner for our family 🙂

  27. Family togetherness, every Thanksgiving I am grateful for that!

  28. My favorite Thanksgiving memory is having Thanksgiving dinner at my grandparents. My grandmother would work so hard preparing a big turkey, a honeybaked ham, deviled eggs, homemade mashed potatoes and gravy, stuffing and of course a cake made from scratch. The whole family would gather together at my grandparents old house and share a meal together. We would talk and laugh and just feel safe and loved.

My grandparents are too old to host Thanksgiving now. My grandmother has Alzheimers and can no longer cook her favorite foods. So every Thanksgiving I find myself missing those Thanksgiving dinners spent with my family in their old house. I’ll always treasure those memories though.

  29. My fondest memories are the various relatives visiting, the great food and desserts, and just enjoying the company of my family.

  30. My favorite Thanksgiving memories are the Thanksgivings that were spent with my Dad & Grandparents. They have passed away in recent yrs. My family still gets together for Thanksgiving but we miss them & the holidays are not the same. Thank you for the chance to win! 🙂

  32. Having all the family together and realizing how wonderful it is to see each other, even the ones that sort of irratate me–lol

  33. My favorite Thanksgiving memory is the year both my husbands and my family all had Thanksgiving together. Our parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins as well as our own children were there. We had 87 people together!

  34. I have the best Thanksgiving memories at my Grandmother’s house. My Grandfather would say a prayer and then we’d all sit down to eat. The creaking of the wood chairs, the piling on of food, the conversations during dinner. I can literally smell these memories.

  35. My grandma getting up early to bake pumpkin pie from scratch & giving us the leftover dough to make cinnamon sugar cookies with.

  36. My favourite memory is burning the turkey and having to get pizza instead!

  38. I would say my Favorite Thanksgiving memory was in 2000….my husband, myself and my 1yr old daughter had just moved into our first house and out of both sides of our family we had the house with the biggest living room and plenty of space for everyone. Since my husband and I were hosting Thanksgiving at our house we decided to have his side of the family and my side of the family all together. I still can’t believe all these yrs later and several very sad Thanksgivings after that we were able to pull it off and had the most amazing time. Thanks for letting me share.

  39. My favorite Thanksgiving memory was when I was 8 years old. My parents decided to break tradition and try something new, so we went to Howard Johnson’s for dinner and saw two movies. Best… Thanksgiving… ever! 😀

    God bless,
    Miles
